Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) Phantom Works Division is seeking Phantom Works Proprietary Environmental Control & Thermal Analysis Engineer (Entry level, Associate) with an emphasis in environmental control & thermal analysis for advanced aircraft development programs located in Hazelwood, MO.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment requirements to establish the system design

  • Support the development, maintenance or modification of system, component and installation designs/proposals to provide design documentation to downstream groups

  • Perform and documents system performance using computational analysis tools to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications

  • Perform detail design development and modification of mechanical and fluid system installations

  • Contribute to supplier development, test and production activates and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals

  • Prepare technical documents for mechanical components and systems

  • Support system components’ design/proposals standards to provide installation and detail documentation

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

This position requires ability to obtain Special Program Access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • (Level 2) 2+ years of work-related engineering experience with a Bachelor’s or work-related engineering experience with a Master’s

  • Experience with 3D solid modeling software applications (e.g. NX, Catia, CADD)

Typical Education/Experience:

(Entry Level 1)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

(Associate Level 2)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary Pay Range (Entry, Level 1): $65,450 - $88,550

Summary Pay Range (Associate, Level 2): $76,500 - $103,500
