| House in Vermont | A small house in the Vermont wilderness that overlooks a scenic waterfall, surrounded by imposing 80-foot high trees. To minimize ground disturbance because of erosion and to maximize natural light because of tall trees, the building lifts off concrete pilotis and rises in four rotating stories with windows and balconies inflecting towards different views. The pumpkin tones of the copper flashed plywood cladding help establish a delicate harmony between the home and the surrounding forest. |
