Warehouse Clerk
Baton Rouge, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking an experienced Warehouse Clerk. This position is responsible for processing and fulfilling orders, accepting incoming shipments, ensuring order accuracy and timeliness, and maintaining the general organization and cleanliness of the warehouse. Duties include handling, storing, and transporting materials within the facility and to headquarters as needed.
Essential Duties:
· Process and fill orders using the company’s inventory control system.
· Assist with shipping and receiving, sort, load, and unload trucks.
· Stock shelves or bins; pull, scan, and package items for shipment.
· Operate warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and shredders.
· Handle company mail: pick up and deliver mail to the post office, sort incoming mail, and prepare outgoing packages.
· Transport items to the company headquarters using the company vehicle.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
· Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements/Skills:
· Proficiency with inventory control systems.
· General knowledge of warehouse procedures and safety standards.
· Experience operating standard warehouse equipment preferred
Physical Requirements:
· Regularly required to stand for extended periods (up to 3 hours), walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach overhead.
· Must frequently lift/move up to 30 lbs and occasionally lift/move up to 75 lbs.
· Visual acuity must include close, distance, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Education:
· High school diploma or GED required.
