Weekly Hours: Varies

Salary Range: $17 - $25.50

Department Details

• Support multiple locations within 150 miles of your permanent address
• Mileage reimbursement
• Additional $5 per hour float premium
• Weekend shift differential of $1.25 per hour
• Evening/night shift differential of $1.25 per hour
• Minimum requirement is to work 30 hours per month
• At least one weekend shift per month is needed
• 3 months of previous long-term care experience required; 6 months preferred

Job Summary

As a Nursing Assistant (NA), you will provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering age-appropriate care by understanding the physical and psychological needs of each resident as outlined in their care plan.
• Assisting residents with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing emotional support.
• Supporting residents during transfers, repositioning, and walking using proper transfer techniques.
• Ensuring a positive dining experience by assisting with meal preparation and serving.
• Keeping detailed documentation of resident interactions and reporting any changes to the charge nurse.
• Facilitating and documenting wellness and recreational programs and encouraging residents to participate.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you should have:

• A high school diploma or GED preferred but not mandatory.
• A minimum age of 16, with prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care being a plus.
• A valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification from the State Board of Nursing or obtaining one within four months of employment.
• A commitment to completing yearly competency tests and at least 12 hours of continuing education annually.
• A clean driving record and valid driver’s license if applicable to facility requirements.
