***Colostomy/Ileostomy Skills REQUIRED: Colostomy care and management, Continence skin care management, Double barrel stoma, End stoma, Ileostomy care and management, Loop with Rod stoma, Mucous fistula & Ostomy equipment selection
***Identification/management of risk factors impacting skin integrity Skills REQUIRED: Pressure ulcer, Venous ulcer, Necrotic debris, Melanoma, Cellulitis & Edema
***Symptom management Skills REQUIRED: Alteration in skin and mucous membranes, Altered mental status, Constipation/diarrhea, Depression/Anxiety, Fatigue/lethargy/weakness, Pain Management & Stomatitis
***Ulcer Risk Assessment tools Skills REQUIRED: Braden scale assessment, Prevention Risk Assessment tools Adult & Prevention Risk Assessment tools Pediatrics
***Wound/Ulcer Assessment & Management Skills REQUIRED: Neuropathic ulcer assessment, Neuropathic ulcer management, Peripheral arterial ulcer assessment, Peripheral arterial ulcer management, Peripheral Arterial Disease - Ankle-Brachial index (ABI), Pressure ulcer assessment, Pressure ulcer management, Tunneling, Undermining, Venous status ulcer assessment & Venous status ulcer management
***Pressure ulcer staging Skills REQUIRED: Stages 1 - IV
***Wound Treatments/Dressings Skills REQUIRED: Alginates, Autolytic debriding agents, Enzymatic Debriding Agents, Foams, Hydrocolloids, Mechanical debridement, Sharp debridement, Silver Products, Vacuum Assisted Closure, Wet to damp dressing change, Wound Cultures & Wound Vac Therapy
***Professional Knowledge and Skills REQUIRED: G-tube/J-tube feeding and site care, Infection control, Isolation Precautions & Patient/family teaching
Certs: BLS & WCC or WOCN
PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:
*Colostomy/Ileostomy Skills: Ileal lavage & Irrigation
*Continence Therapeutic Devices Skills: Female/Male external catheters
*Ileal Pouches Skills: Kock Pouch & J Pouch
*Identification/management of risk factors impacting skin integrity. Skills: Burns 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th degree, Hypoalbuminemia & Nutritional status
*Wound Treatments/Dressings Skills: Electrical Stimulation
Certs: ACLS, WCC, Wound & Ostomy Care, continence not required
JOB DETAILS:
SHIFT: *40 Hours Can Be Offered
Will Accept 13 Weeks.
8-HOUR DAYS; 08:00 - 17:00

PATIENT DIAGNOSES: Wound vacs, ostomy care, management and treatment of varying types of complex wounds
SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Wound vacs, Conservative debridement, Management and treatment of varying types of complex wounds
UNIT SYSTEMS: EPIC, SBAR
SCHEDULING TYPE: Per Unit Needs
UNIT ORIENTATION: Variable depending on wound ostomy and Epic experience
SCRUBS: Not Provided. Navy
