    Certification Details

  • AHA BLS
  • ARRT Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV) certification required within 12 months of hire date
  • Paramedic training program completion accepted within 12 months of hire date

    Job Details

  • Entry-level position working under supervision to deliver specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patients.
  • Provides safe, high quality, efficient, and cost-effective patient-centric care in various care settings including inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, urgent care, and outreach clinics.
  • Prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with physician orders.
  • Communicates and collaborates with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care team to achieve clinical outcomes and operational goals.
  • Utilizes specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment to perform diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures.
  • Conducts post-procedure reviews to ensure documentation and technical quality meet protocols and accreditation standards.
  • Transfers images and data to archival systems and prepares studies for physician reporting.
  • Performs quality control, cleaning, and maintenance of equipment per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
  • Participates in continuing education, professional development, and research activities to maintain competencies and improve care.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Job Requirements

  • Skill in cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology, medical imaging, medical terminology, patient positioning, and medical ethics.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, follow instructions, and reliably report to work as scheduled.
  • Sensitivity to patients’ physical and psychological needs.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and work accurately with names, numbers, and codes.
  • Ability to draw conclusions and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Discretion in handling confidential information and sound judgment.
  • Ability to multi-task and remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Understanding of operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Professional, polite, courteous, compassionate, and cooperative communication with staff, patients, and families.
  • High level of initiative, effort, and commitment to completing assignments efficiently.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and attention to detail.
  • Core knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology; cardiovascular and/or radiologic technologies and terminology.
  • Ability to apply core-level primary specialty theory, practices, and techniques to perform, post-process, analyze, and annotate study data with general supervision.
  • Associate’s degree or higher required.
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited cardiovascular specialty program or JRCERT accredited radiologic technology program or completion of Paramedic training program.

    Schedule Information

  • Contract length is 13 weeks.
