**GENERAL DESCRIPTION**

Performs attorney work for the Child Support Division. Work involves representing state interest in judicial and administrative matters, and providing legal advice, consultation and technical assistance to the Child Support Program and staff.

**WILL NEED PREVIOUS OFFICE OF ATTORNEY GENERAL EXPERIENCE**

**EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED**

• TAAGs will assist Office of the Attorney General Attorneys in legal proceedings to locate, establish, enforce, modify or terminate court orders for child support and medical support.
• Represents the State of Texas in administrative hearings
• Provides legal advice, consultation and technical assistance to the Child Support Program
• Develops and delivers training
• Skill in legal writing, mediation, and negotiation
• Supporting OAG trial lawyers by preparing sound opinions, conducting investigations and performing legal research
• Experience:

PREVIOUS OFFICE OF ATTORNEY GENERAL EXPERIENCE**

One-year experience in handling Family Law cases in the state of Texas Experience in handling a high volume legal practice.

Education

Graduation from an accredited law school with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Licensing

Must be licensed to practice Law in the state of Texas.
