Job Description

JD:

• Looking for a seasoned Splunk Dashboard DEVELOPER someone that is "living & breathing" on Splunk Dashboards
• Person must have excellent experience in Splunk DEVELOPMENT
• Must have extensive background in developing dashboards in Splunk Develop and maintain Splunk dashboards, alerts, reports to provide actionable insight into system performance and reliability
• Splunk certifications Splunk Developer*, Admin or other certifications also nice to have (must have at least one, specifically certified Splunk Developer)
• Splunk Dashboard studio
• SPL programming Splunk Programming Language
• Background of development with Java or Python
• UI experience with Splunk Dashboards is needed - Java Scripting (see notes below on business facing dashboards and ability to make the UI more user-friendly in Splunk
• AWS (Lambda, ECS, EC2, S3 mandate services) Must have AWS experience but does not mean this person will necessarily be implementing or solutioning in AWS, the need to understand how the services interact with Splunk Dashboards as it relates to the logs, etc..

Other:

• This role is NOT an SRE Otel, SRE, observability, etc.. is important but this is mostly a pure Splunk Dashboard Developer role***
• 80-90% of this role will be into Splunk Development (EXTENSIVE Splunk Dashboard Development)
• Team is mostly responsible for developing dashboards in Splunk, given the business requirements that are coming in from business side
• We have logs, metrics coming from various applications.. resource must be familiar with SRE concepts as it relates to SLAs at business process layer (underlying telemetry data), doesn't need to be a seasoned SRE but need to have familiarity with concepts
• The work we do is not routine work, candidate must have intellectual interest/curiosity this is a role where person will be doing fast-paced, business facing development work with Splunk Dashboards
• OpenTelemetry (OTel) Not looking for hand's on with OTel necessarily, but understanding telemetry data formats that are coming in, understanding how structure/metrics looks
• AWS experience is mandate Novice with AWS will NOT fly, must have experience with AWS (might not be implementing directly with AWS but they need to know/understand how the services interact)
• Business facing dashboards, really looking for someone that can take on challenges (requirements) related to end-users that are interacting with the UI.. how to make the UI more "user friendly"
