Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Shopify Developer/Application or IT Specialist who will take responsibility for the ongoing development, customization, and optimization of our Shopify-based e-commerce sites. This role involves both front-end and back-end development, with a strong understanding of system integrations to ensure seamless operations. The ideal candidate will work closely with the internal teams and external partners to ensure that our platforms are highly functional, scalable, and capable of supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify websites for Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) and Business-to-Business (B2B) channels and other future e-commerce platforms.
· Collaborate with internal and external teams (IT, marketing, design) to ensure smooth operations and integrations.
· Optimize the user experience (UX) and implement responsive design practices.
· Ensure integration with backend logic, including inventory management, order fulfillment systems, and payment gateways.
· Perform debugging, testing, and upgrades as necessary.
· Stay up-to-date with Shopify app developments, APIs, and other relevant technologies.
· Act as a key technical support resource for any Shopify-related issues or enhancements.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Proven experience as a Shopify Developer or similar role within Shopify Platform.
· Strong understanding of Shopify’s architecture, Liquid templating, and its APIs.
· Experience with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
· Back-end experience, including working with APIs and system integrations (e.g., with inventory management systems, fulfillment platforms).
· Familiarity with Shopify apps and third-party integrations.
· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
· Excellent communication skills to liaise with IT, marketing, and external partners.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Prior experience working on DTC and B2B e-commerce platforms.
· Knowledge of Shopify Plus.
· Experience with ERP integration, particularly Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, or similar systems.
