Job Title: ServiceNow Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to design, implement, and support ServiceNow applications and integrations. The ideal candidate will have strong development skills, a deep understanding of ServiceNow architecture, and experience with low-code/no-code solutions. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, gathering requirements, and delivering scalable, maintainable solutions in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stay current on IT advancements and best practices to automate and modernize systems.
  • Customize and configure ServiceNow applications, modules, workflows, and UI.
  • Collaborate with other ServiceNow administrators to manage updates, configurations, and requests.
  • Work with stakeholders to gather, document, and validate software requirements.
  • Identify system deficiencies and recommend practical solutions.
  • Ensure consistency of tool configurations across development, staging, testing, sandbox, and production environments.
  • Participate in ongoing production support and end-user support.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into functional ServiceNow solutions.
  • Collaborate with Scrum Masters, business, and IT teams to support ongoing configuration, implementation, and platform enhancements.
  • Design and build ServiceNow applications and integrations, adhering to best practices, architecture standards, and Agile methodologies.
  • Maintain project momentum, ensuring development stays on track while collaborating with engineers, analysts, and other team members.
  • Follow and maintain documentation standards and apply UI/UX requirements as needed.
  • Employ best practices for version control, continuous integration, and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
  • Develop post-MVP applications, including configuration, coding, unit testing, and technical documentation.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to development teams.
  • Utilize programming languages such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, and others; proficiency in Java, Python, or C++ is a plus.
  • Apply knowledge of the full software development life cycle (SDLC), from sprint planning to deployment and maintenance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of ServiceNow experience, including at least 3 years as a ServiceNow developer supporting low-code/no-code development.
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow architecture, core concepts, and ACLs.
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow components such as Change Management, Service Catalog, Incident Management, Problem Management, Release Management, CMDB, CSM, Knowledge Management, and Self-Service Portal.
  • Experience with full SDLC, including analysis, design, coding, testing, and production deployment.
  • Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML.
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact across all organizational levels.
  • Problem-solving mindset with innovative thinking.

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.
  • ServiceNow System Administration (CSA) certification required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ITIL v3 Foundations certified; advanced ITIL certifications a plus.
  • Experience with ServiceNow scripting and advanced customizations.
