In this role, you will work under the general supervisor of the Chief Radiation Therapy Technologist and your functions will include:

• Applying ionizing radiation according to MD's prescription (3D,IMRT,SBRT,SRS,HDR)
• Patient scheduling and appointments
• Performing dose calculations
• Treatment data entry 
• Working with physicians, physicists and dosimetrists to perform simulations and treatment planning CT's 

May be hired as Radiation Therapist if you possess less than 5 years of experience.

Salary Range Senior Radiation Therapist: $69.34 - $91.48 Hourly

Salary Range Radiation Therapist: $64.68 - $85.34 Hourly

Qualifications

Required:

• ARRT License
  
• CRT License
  
• 5 or more years radiation therapy experience 
  
• BLS/CPR from American Heart Association or American Red Cross 
  
• Skill in working with different types of treatment machines such as MR Scanner, CT Scanner, HDR units and Linear Accelerators and ability to recognize when hazardous conditions may exist
  
• Truebeam, Tomotherapy, Novalis, CT and MR guided RT experience
  
• Ability to lift cerrobend blocks weighing up to 35 pounds.\n
• Knowledge of basic physics as applicable to Radiation Therapy.\n
• Ability to use an electronic calculator to perform dose calculations.\n
• Skill in communicating various technical aspects of Radiation Therapy at a level understood by patients.\n
• Skill in recognizing and reporting any adverse patient therapy reactions.\n
• Knowledge of the principles and applications of thermo-luminescent dosimeters.\n
• Skill in reading documents written with medical terminology and ability to read and implement computer-generated physics treatment plans.\n
• Knowledge of basic nursing procedures.\n
• Working knowledge of University procedures regarding isolation of immuno-suppressed patients.\n
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with physicians and physicists.\n

Preferred:

• Aria and Epic experience – preferred
