Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A dedicated candidate is sought for a full-time position in a K-12 school setting located in Ruidoso Downs, NM. This role focuses on providing individual and group support to students, particularly within a special education caseload of approximately 176 students. The position runs for the 2025-2026 school year, with a schedule from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM.

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) or higher
• Valid state licensure or certification as a social worker
• Previous experience working with K-12 students, preferably in special education
• Background in supporting Native American students is highly preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, students, and families

Location: Ruidoso Downs, NM

Responsibilities:

• Provide social-emotional support and counseling to students, fostering a safe and inclusive school environment
• Collaborate with special education teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Conduct assessments to understand student needs and tailor support accordingly
• Facilitate group sessions and workshops on social skills and coping strategies
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records and documentation
• Liaise with parents, teachers, and administrative staff to address student concerns and promote well-being
