SAP GRC Consultant

Role Overview
An SAP GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) leader plays a pivotal role in guiding a company through the complexities of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, especially during the critical phase leading up to an Initial Public Offering (IPO). This role requires a blend of technical expertise in SAP systems, comprehensive knowledge of regulatory requirements, and strategic leadership to ensure that the company's financial and operational controls are robust and effective.


Key Responsibilities
• Compliance Management: Ensure the company's adherence to SOX regulations by implementing and maintaining effective internal controls over financial reporting.
• SAP Configuration Oversight: Supervise and manage any configuration changes in SAP that impact GRC processes, ensuring that they align with compliance requirements.
• Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues and implement mitigation strategies.
• Audit Coordination: Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate smooth and thorough audits, addressing any findings promptly.
• Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to ensure that all relevant employees understand compliance requirements and best practices.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of compliance processes and prepare reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.


Required Skills
• SAP Expertise: In-depth knowledge of SAP systems and their GRC modules, with the ability to manage and configure these systems effectively.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of SOX regulations and their application in a corporate environment.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to assess risks, identify compliance issues, and develop effective solutions.

Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field; a master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CISA, SAP GRC) are preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in SAP GRC or related roles, with a proven track record of managing SOX compliance and IPO processes.
