Description

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain. Were looking for talented people to help us. Youll join a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other roles. Youll collaborate across AWS to deliver safety, security, and high capacity at low costs, fostering an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers ownership.

Key job responsibilities

  • Manage the Basis of Design (BOD) program, influencing technical standards documentation across global data centers.
  • Define, review, and release critical infrastructure documentation.
  • Ensure standards evolve to meet emerging needs while maintaining consistency.
  • Oversee the end-to-end BOD release cycle and coordinate reviews.
  • Develop scalable document management processes and collaborate with engineering teams.
  • Maintain quality and accessibility of technical standards.

About The Team

The Data Center Design Engineering team at AWS works to design the next generation of data centers, maintaining world-class documentation standards. You will impact our business and drive improvements in managing technical standards globally.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of technical product or program management experience.
  • 5+ years of technical program management working with software engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing cross-functional programs, building processes, and coordinating releases.
  • Experience with document management systems and technical writing.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure design principles and documentation standards.
  • Experience with GitLab, SmartSheets, version control, and collaboration tools.
  • Background in data center infrastructure or similar environments.
