Job Title: Proofreader Location: Temecula, CA 92591 Duration: 12 months Employment Type: Non-Exempt (Hours over 40 paid at time and a half) Job Description: Reads original copy or proof to detect and mark any grammatical, typographical, or compositional errors. May also check dimensions, spacing, and positioning for accuracy. Has knowledge of proofreading symbols. Requires minimal supervision. Proofreader will be responsible for proofreading labeling components at various stages of development. Proofreads and approves labeling change control documentation and associated specifications. Reviews labeling for consistency and accuracy. Communicates and coordinates labeling changes with cross-functional groups. Must be able to rearrange priorities on short notice to react to customer needs. Labeling and documentation for new products or revisions must be completed accurately and on time. Quality of the product is directly linked to the accuracy of the associated documentation. Documentation associated with the labeling change control process must meet Quality, Regulatory and GMP requirements. Requires a minimum of one to two years experience in a technical/quality or operational area. Must have the ability to problem solve, manage projects, influence internal and external groups and provide leadership. Knowledge of proofreading style guides is preferred. Strong organizational and human relations skills to deal with various levels of individuals and functional areas within the division is required.
