About the role

The Production Assistant supports the production team by assisting in day-to-day operations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and deadlines are met. This role involves multitasking, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Production Assistant plays a key part in maintaining smooth production workflows and supporting the team to achieve production goals.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Production Support:
  • Assist in setting up and preparing production areas, tools, and materials.
  • Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Coordinate with team members to maintain a steady workflow.
• Quality Control:
  • Conduct checks on products to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Report any defects, inconsistencies, or issues to the production supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate records of quality inspections and findings.
• Equipment Maintenance:
  • Support basic maintenance and cleaning of production tools and equipment.
  • Report equipment malfunctions or required repairs to the appropriate personnel.
• Administrative Tasks:
  • Maintain detailed records of production activities and outputs.
  • Assist in preparing reports or documentation as required.
• Health and Safety:
  • Adhere to all company health and safety policies.
  • Ensure the production area is clean and safe at all times.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and encourage team compliance as required.
• Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other team members to achieve production goals.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues about progress, challenges, or needs.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned to support overall production.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment (preferred).
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of production equipment and processes (training provided).
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, inventory systems) is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Lift and move materials up to [weight limit, e.g., 50 lbs].
• Perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
