This is a full-time mobile position with occasional on call and storm support responsibilities. Schedule is flexible. As a Mobile Mechanic, you can expect to: \n Completes repairs and maintains a variety of gasoline and diesel powered equipment and vehicles from a mobile service truck. \n Perform inspections, repair and maintenance operations on a variety of powered, non-powered equipment, and vehicles. \n Operate and perform diagnosis on equipment, maintain and repair hydraulic systems, routes and replaces hydraulic lines, check system for leaks and proper operation \n Perform diagnosis and repair complex electrical systems. \n Perform routine vehicle and equipment preventive maintenance inspections checking, DOT inspections and replaces fluids, checks lights and other electrical system components, etc. \n Provide clear and accurate information when entering work order data into a fleet maintenance system. \n A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected. \n Work in a self-paced environment and is self-motivated. \n The list of duties does not include ALL duties that may be assigned to this position. \n Ability to perform administrative tasks and the ability to prioritize work load in a productive manner \n \n Qualifications To be successful in this role you will have: \n At least 2 years of light to heavy duty vehicle maintenance experience \n Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of gas and diesel powered equipment. \n High school diploma or its equivalent \n Valid driver's license with good driving record \n CDL preferred but not required \n Must be computer literate \n Must be able to effectively communicate with customers \n Must possess necessary skills to operate and interpret diagnostic equipment \n Candidates must provide truck technician hand tools \n Must be able to obtain a DOT Medical Card to operate a service vehicle \n At least 2 years of performing DOT inspections \n This position is contingent upon your ability to pass a preemployment criminal history check and drug screen. \n \n Additional desired experience and skills: \n ASE Certifications preferred or capable of gaining certifications \n Hydraulic experience preferred \n \n To help you succeed on the job we offer: \n Highly competitive rates and benefits. \n Allowances for boots, tools, and safety glasses. \n Uniforms provided, including wet and cold weather gear and all required PPE and shop gear. \n Free and paid training. \n License and inspection cost reimbursement as well as tuition reimbursement for industry schools. \n ASE testing reimbursement. \n \n If you are interested in joining the Serco Fleet Maintenance Services team, submit your application today!
