Job Description

Overview

Assist Event Supervisor with the execution and coordination of events that will benefit Loon Mountain by adding value for guests. Loon is a customer-focused organization, so a crucial part of each employee's job is to get and keep guests.


Responsibilities

  • Maintains and enhances a guest focused culture in all areas of responsibility.
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of employees, guests and all other outside contacts.
  • Works outdoor work environment with variable weather conditions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Provides superior service to our customers (internal and external) by following Resort Etiquette Guidelines while interacting with guests. Respond to all guests and employees in a courteous, efficient manner.
  • Support with set-up and breakdown of each event site as needed. This includes lifting and moving heavy equipment on occasion that may weigh 10-50 lbs.
  • Assist with registration and the organization of enrolling participants.
  • Requires to be on snow for certain events securing entrances/exits of private events.
  • Give excellent guest service and ability to inform event details to general public.
  • Assist Event Supervisor with the development and promotion of events.
  • Communicate with Mountain Operations, Ski Patrol and other resort staff in order to execute the event.
  • Control event arena entrances and/or exits.
  • Organize event registration Release of Liability forms.
RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY:
  • Protect the safety of self, co-workers, and Loon Mountain Resort guests at all times.
  • Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay.
  • Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor.
  • Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures.
  • Operate equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of yourself or others.
  • Drive in accordance with the law and Loon Mountain Resort policies.
  • When lifting or transporting equipment, work together and ask for help as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The ability to ski or snowboard at an intermediate level or higher.


The ability to lift and move equipment on occasion that may weigh 10-50 lbs.
