Our client, a major bank in New York City, is looking for hands-on Java Developer in Equities Front Office Consultant This role is hybrid commute (2/3 days office/home). This is 6 months contract with possible extensions or option to hire. ** Must be authorized to work for ANY employer in US - NO H1 Visa support for this role Rate: $100-106/h on W2 DOE, possible C2C as well Java Developer - Equities Front Office Required Skills • Hands-on experience in Java in Equities development space. • Experience with mission-critical trading platforms (Nuvoprime API, SwapOne) • Expertise in tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, PuppetLabs, SonaType, SonarQube, Tenable, Invicti and Zero Networks. • Strong security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle • Experience in development and maintenance of automated testing frameworks • Solid understanding of back-end and front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) • In-depth knowledge of equities or equity derivatives, and trading workflows (including FIX protocol) • Direct collaboration with trading desks and business users • Bachelor’s/master’s degree in computer science or related field • 5+ years of Java development experience, ideally in capital markets/financial services • Experience with frameworks (Spring, Hibernate), messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and databases (SQL Server, QuestDB, Snowflake) • Proficiency with Git and Agile development • Strong multitasking, organizational, and communication skills Good to Have: • Experience with AI/ML and the • Experience and familiarity with Log observability tools such as Elastic Search/Kibana/Splunk stack. • Experience with leading industry platforms, including Quod, FlexTrade, Nuvoprime, and Murex. • Experience with cloud (Azure, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes) • Knowledge of regulatory/risk/compliance and audit controls in Equities trading space is plus.
