Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an IT Manager to work in Columbus, Ohio. This role is open because the IT manager was recently promoted, and they will report to him. The ideal candidate will still be very hands on within IT Infrastructure specifically and will need to have the ability to step in and help. They will oversee a team of 17 and will have 3 assist managers reporting to them (Networking, Desktop Support, Software Development). Additional team members have skills in system administration, tech writing, and some basic DevOps. They will oversee and support the infrastructure for this location, along with 14 others in the Ohio Region. They also support some infrastructure of Canada and Mexico plants. There will be some initial travel to client sites just to take a look at infrastructure and how things work, but otherwise the role will not require travel.
Primary responsibilities include:
Monitor performance and reliability for all of infrastructure
Coordinate fixes and upgrades for 14 locations
Assist with mitigation of risk and improvement
Assist with the development and tracking of business plan and budget
Assist in the management of relevant vendor supplied outside services
Catalog and maintain infrastructure, system and client documentation
Plan upgrades and implementations

Salary range 100-140K depending on experience plus bonus and benefits

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field/equivalent experience
10+ years of total IT industry experience
Recent experience in a Senior or Lead IT Role
A few years of management ok, but needs to be very hands on (not just people management)
Strong Infrastructure Background
Hands on experience with network/system administration
Cisco/Meraki networking
Strong troubleshooting experience within Windows and Microsoft O365 environment
Experience administering and supporting Active Directory
Server side administration and operating systems versions 2012-2022
