Job Description

Responsibilities as an IT Manager:

Manage and mentor help desk team members, ensuring prompt and effective IT support across the business
Provide hands-on troubleshooting for advanced technical issues, including network, workstation, and server-related problems
Identify skill gaps within the team and provide targeted coaching to develop their technical depth
Work closely with global applications and infrastructure teams to resolve escalated issues and improve processes
Coordinate with vendors for hardware, software, and support services as needed
Document and improve IT support procedures and best practices
Contribute to team growth and maturity by fostering a proactive, problem-solving culture

Qualifications and Skills as an IT Manager:

5-7 years of IT experience, with some leadership or supervisory experience
Strong hands-on skills in Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and networking
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
Experience managing or coaching IT support/help desk teams
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical users
Degree preferred but not required; equivalent professional experience accepted
Familiarity with mainframe infrastructure and applications, not required but nice to have
Relevant IT certifications (.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, ITIL), not required but nice to have
Experience working in a manufacturing or multi-site environment, not required but nice to have
