At CHS, we are creating connections to empower agriculture. Summary CHS is looking for a Hazmat Driver to join our team! Ideally, this individual will reside in or near Burlington, CO; Colby, KS; Goodland, KS; or Oakley, KS. This role will be dedicated to delivering fuel to our customer locations around the area. This is a regional driving role, and drivers can expect to be out overnight in the truck Monday-Friday, and home for the weekends. There could be times throughout the year during the busier season where the schedule could shift. This role is eligible for a $3,000 sign on bonus. $1500 will be paid after 30 days, and an additional $1500 after one year in the role. Join our amazing team today! Responsibilities Ensure accurate and on time deliveries to our customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws. To include but not limited to pre-trip and post-trip reporting, proper load securement and hours of service. Assist in the warehouse when not delivering product. Work extended hours in-season to meet business demands. Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions Assist warehouse staff and perform other duties as needed or assigned. Minimum Qualifications (required) Class A CDL with Hazmat Endorsement 2+ years of CDL driving experience Must meet minimum age requirement Ability to read, write and communicate in English and understand highway traffic signs and signals Additional Qualifications Tanker and Air Brake endorsements Must meet DOT and Company requirements Ability to work additional hours and occasional Saturdays to meet business demands Bulk liquid experience preferred Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position. If required, selected candidates must pass pre-employment screenings to include all or a combination of drug, criminal, motor vehicle check, physical requirements and FMSCA Clearinghouse. Physical Requirements Ability to lift/carry up to 80 lbs, walk, stand, sit, bend, and kneel CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
