Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles and be able to effectively teach and inspire students of all ages. This role involves developing engaging lesson plans, managing classroom dynamics, and fostering a love for dance in a supportive environment. The Dance Instructor will work closely with students to enhance their skills, confidence, and appreciation for the art of dance.

Duties

• Develop and implement comprehensive dance curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels.
• Teach various dance styles, including ballet, jazz, tap and others as needed.
• Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning atmosphere for all students.
• Plan and organize dance recitals and performances to showcase student progress.
• Provide individualized tutoring and support to students requiring additional assistance.
• Utilize effective lesson planning techniques to ensure educational objectives are met.
• Collaborate with other instructors on interdisciplinary projects that may include theater or culinary arts.
• Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all participants, especially children in early childhood education settings.
• Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching methods and stay current with dance trends.

Experience

• Proven experience in teaching dance or related fields, with a focus on curriculum development and lesson planning.
• Background in working with children or adults in educational settings is highly desirable.
• Experience in classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
• Familiarity with early childhood education principles or preschool experience is a plus.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 per week
