MNA delivers leadership, support, and guidance to healthcare facilities of all sizes across multiple specialties with the primary goal of providing accessibility, value, and quality medical administrative support services.
What You’ll Do:
Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) provides strategic leadership and oversight of MNA’s financial operations. As a key member of the Leadership Team, the CFO partners closely with the CEO and organizational leaders to advance MNA’s mission and ensure financial health, operational excellence, and long-term sustainability. The CFO will have a strong day-to-day financial and leadership presence and serve as a steward of MNA’s values, supporting high performance and positive staff morale.
This role requires a thoughtful, highly adaptable, and strategic leader with strong fiscal management experience. They will have a “roll-up-your-sleeves” attitude, approach difficult decision-making with care and intention, and have experience in designing and optimizing business and operations processes and systems. They will also have experience in managing teams through organizational growth and change and possess a deep understanding of motivating, mobilizing, and supporting staff, as well as evaluating systems and policies to increase effectiveness. The CFO will have strong analytical capabilities, including the ability to think critically and to propose and implement change successfully.
Strategy, Vision, and Leadership
Serve as a strategic financial adviser and thought partner to the CEO in organization-wide planning and development.
Develop and implement organizational systems and processes to maximize efficiency and support future growth.
Support the implementation of MNA’s growth plan with a particular focus on financial planning, sustainability, and strong talent management.
Through action and behavior, model best practices, habits, and practices for staff.
Identify and assess emerging operations gaps, working to proactively overcome and address issues and gaps.
Build a culture that attracts and retains top talent for all positions at the organization.
Serve as an advisor to Leadership and senior staff.
Financial Management
Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO, identifying and recommending opportunities for continuous improvement in the organization’s financial performance and overall fiscal strategy.
Provide hands-on leadership and oversight of all finance and accounting functions, including budget development and monitoring, compliance, cash flow and investment strategies, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, tax filings, audits, and financial governance.
Collaborate closely with the applicable Boards to ensure transparent communication, alignment of financial priorities, and sound fiscal oversight.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree from a licensed and regionally accredited university in business or accounting.
CPA (highly preferred).
Experience working within nonprofits is highly preferred.
Senior management experience working cross-functionally across finance, operations, administration, human resources, and IT in complex organizations.
Demonstrated strategic financial, budget, and human resource management skills and experience.
Experience/exposure working with Sage accounting software.
Demonstrated experience with technology, systems, and project leadership.
Effective and persuasive communicator, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate and collaborate with a broad range of audiences.
Superior problem-solving, managerial, and conflict-resolution skills.
Judgment and discretion to manage confidential and difficult matters.
Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across the organization.
Effective, versatile, and action-oriented.
The ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines and multiple priorities.
Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening.
