What You'll Be Doing - Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic processes, and developing individualized care plans
- Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic health conditions, collaborating with physicians or taking the lead as allowed by your credentials
- Providing health education focused on prevention, wellness, and disease management for patients and families
- Prescribing medications and therapies within the scope of your practice
- Participating in follow-up care and chronic disease management
- Working seamlessly with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care
- Accurately documenting patient information in electronic medical records (EMR)
Education Requirements - Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Required Certifications - Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in North Carolina
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or its equivalent in a specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain them within 90 days)
