Your Role in This Adventure - Performing thorough patient assessments, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and crafting personalized care plans
- Diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, or chronic conditions, either independently or in partnership with physicians (based on your qualifications)
- Guiding patients and families in disease prevention, wellness strategies, and ongoing disease management
- Prescribing appropriate medications and therapies within your scope of practice
- Engaging in patient follow-ups and chronic care management
- Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to promote comprehensive patient care
- Thoroughly documenting all patient interactions in electronic medical records (EMR)
What You Need to Join Our Team - Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Essential Certifications - Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Texas
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C from AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the capability to obtain within 90 days)
